Taking A Moment with the Cast of ”Joie to the World”
Playwright Rodrigo del Solar (sitting in the middle) enjoys time to take a photo with his cast, director and dramaturg who helped him develop his farcical “Joie to the World.” The Staged Reading took place on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Shetler’s Studios’ Theatre 54 in the theatre district of Manhattan.
Debut on Broadway
Mixing It Up Productions joins the production of “The Lightning Thief: Percy Jackson the Musical” at the Longacre Theatre as partner and investor. Show began September 22, 2019 and runs until January 5, 2020. After Broadway, the opportunity of licensing will be available.
New One Act to be Performed at New York Theatre Festival in 2020
“Gentle Hands for the Gentleman” is scheduled to be performed at the NYTF’s NYWinterfest, March 11 @ 4pm – March 14 @ 12pm – March 15 @ 8:30pm at the Hudson Guild Theater at 441 W. 26 St. (between 9th and 10th Avenues). It will be the second festival since 2014 that MIU entered with its full length play “Tide Beyond the Rift” which was nominated for 3 awards in the Midtown International Theatre Festival.

BUSINESS OF CABARET
In April 2018, MIU presented a seminar for people who are in or want to be in the cabaret industry. A stellar panel of 6 professionals in the business spoke about their experiences in cabaret and how to sustain a career in it. To view the video of the seminar, Click Here.
